It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a side that has won it all.

That it took as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their hitters to possess a record if not afforded the possibility.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy being given a platform to produce her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after Australia couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has witnessed all through 15 championship-filled years since.

The question of whether this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display remains open for discussion.

Some will argue the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was much more difficult to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this innings followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it has been a challenging time because it appeared I lacked timing at all," said Healy.

"Yet the moment you take the field, your competitive nature activate and you simply focus on the match."

Healy's competitiveness has continuously been her great strength - and a priceless quality in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this success following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a significant event.

So great is her will, she later said she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.
